Public transport summer schedule to be issued within a few days

The management of Malta Public Transport Services is currently holding discussions with the General Workers Union in order to issue the summer timetables. It is anticipated that the new schedule will become effective as from next week.

With respect to the complaints and media articles on problems with air conditioning systems, Malta Public Transport explained that whilst it was aware of some problems being faced on a small number of buses that have been leased from the UK recently, it insisted that most of the buses in the fleet were equipped with fully-functional air conditioning systems that meet the contracted standards imposed by the regulator, and most importantly ensure that passengers travel comfortably.

Malta Public Transport regrets any inconvenience caused and can confirm that the issue is being addressed to remedy the situation with the least delays.
