I'll actually be over there in less than two months, though I'll be on Gozo rather than Malta itself.

At St. Philip Band Club AD 1851 we sell DVDs showing the fireworks displays of 2008, 2009 and 2010 by the St. Philip Fireworks Factory. If you contact me on my personal email address I can arrange to supply you with these DVDs against payment.

I have seen many fireworks displays in many countries but this is one of the best I have ever seen. If as Tarcisio Mifsud says there were better shows than this during feasts I would love to see them, as they must be spectacular.

I would like to congratulate the St. Joseph fireworks factory for such an incredible feat. I had no doubt that they would place in such a position. Everytime a Maltese fireworks factory competes in an international festival we always get a good result. And here in Malta we call them 'dilettanti'. The 'dilettanti' made a good promotional spectacle for Maltese village feasts.

Well done Rennie Dimech and friends of the St Joseph firework factory, you have done your village and the whole of Malta proud. So Ghaxaq now has two firework champions after St Mary's won against foreign opposition some time ago.

Welll done Ghaxaq Boys. But if the show with which they won is the one being displayed above, In my opinion in the summer weekends in Malta we see similar if not better displays from several village festas. Taking as an example St. Philip Fireworks Factory of Zebbug in Malta, we display a similar fireoner show which runs for almost 30 minutes, using no less than 13 places from where the air fireworks take off continuously. I was always sure that Ghaxaq would win, for in Malta we have the best fireworks artisans, inspite that most of them are just volunteers, and very wrongly we called them 'delettanti' which is not the case.
