Man in custody after harassing his former girlfriend for the fifth time

A 42-year old man residing in Pieta has been charged for the fifth time with harassing his former girlfriend, clearly not giving up despite having been jailed for two years for the same crime.

Massimo Tivisini, of Sicilian origin, pleaded guilty to harassing his former girlfriend after reportedly stalking the girl, smashing her car window and trying to pull her out of the car window.

Tivisini smashed the girl’s mobile phone after she tried calling the police.

He was charged this morning with smashing her car window, driving dangerously, smashing her mobile phone, threatening, assaulting and insulting her and committing a crime during the period of a suspended jail term.

Tivisini will be held in custody until sentencing on September 14. He was last charged with harassing his former girlfriend on June 15, when he pleaded not guilty.

Why has he not been deported to Sicily with a no-entry into Malta order?
