Senior citizen hit by a van after an argument
What seems to be a family dispute ended in an alleged hit and run case with the police searching for the driver who fled the scene of the accident.
This alleged hit and run happened this morning at around 6.30 a.m. in Triq is-Sedqa, Attard. The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by an ambulance badly hurt but conscious.
Police from the Traffic Section where seen on the spot and District Police are investigating the case.
Later on during the day in a statement the Police said that from further investigations it resulted that an argument arose between two men - a 64-year-old and a 56-year-old, both residing in Attard.
During said argument the 64-year-old man was hit by a Toyota Hilux which was being driven by the other man. He was later certified as suffering from injuries of slight nature.
The 56-year-old is being held by the Police to assist in the investigations.
