Young Żurrieq motorcyclist hospitalised after crash

The motorcyclist, who was driving a Yamaha, has been certified as suffering grievous injuries but was not in danger of dying.

The collision took place at around 07.05 on Valletta Road in Zurrieq.

Initial police investigations on site have shown the collision took place as the motorcyclist and the woman were driving in the same direction out of Żurrieq.

An ambulance was immediately called on site to take the motorcyclist to Mater Dei Hospital, where he is being medically examined by doctors and other paramedics.

Police investigations on the case were still continuing.
