Gharb fireworks explosion claims sixth life
Peter Paul Micallef, 35, is the sixth victim of last Sunday's Gharb fireworks factory explosion.
Micallef was the son-in-law of fireworks factory owner Ninu Farrugia, who died in the factory explosion, along with sons Noel and Raymond, Noel's wife Antoinette and another victim Jean Pierre Azzopardi.
Raymond Farrugia was married and had a daughter of five, and a son, 11. The Times reports that Farrugia's wife has denied reports that Antoinette was pregnant at the time of death.
Azzopardi, who hails from Xewkija, will have his funeral at the Xewkija Parish Church on Friday while the members of the Farrugia family will have a common funeral at the Fontana Parish Church on Saturday afternoon.
