Tourist information office to be set up in Marsaxklokk

Tourism Minister says that a tourist information office that will give tourists detailed information about the south of Malta will open in the coming months

A tourist information office will be opened in Marsaxklokk in the coming months, Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis announced. This office will give tourists detailed information about the south of Malta. The funds

“This information office will offer specialised services in the heart of Marsaxklokk, a locality packed with touristic attractions,” Zammit Lewis said. “The office will also showcase traditional Maltese products manufactured in the south of the island which will help raise awareness and create opportunities to traditional artisan industires.”

This project will be financed through EU-funds.

This information office is the latest initiative to attract more tourists to the south of Malta, Zammit Lewis said, citing EU-funded restoration projects and the launch of rural walks earlier this year.

“This in and of itself increases the possibility of tourists spending money here, therefore helping the south’s economy,” Zammit Lewis said.
