Updated | Solana hotel evacuated after fire

All guests were evacuated from the Solana hotel in Mellieha after a fire was reported in one of the second floor guest rooms, this afternoon.

The cause of the fire, which was quickly brought under control by hotel staff, is currently not known. 

No serious injuries have been reported, but a number of people were treated for smoke inhalation.

An inquiry into the incident will be held.
