Gozitan students studying in Malta will start receiving their three-month €400 subsidy in their bank accounts, rather than through a cheque posted in the mail. This applies to students enrolled in a full-time course at the University, MCAST and the Institute of Tourism Studies.

This was announced by Gozo Minister Anton Refalo during a meeting with the Gozitan University Group (GUG).

“This confirms that the government has the students’ interests at heart and clearly shows that it will continue doing all it can to assit them in their studies,” Refalo said, describing this move as another step through which the government is cutting down on bureaucracy.
