PN says government is clueless about traffic problems
Opposition says prime minister Joseph Muscat and transport minister Joe Mizzi have no solution for traffic problem
The PN today lambasted government for being clueless about the traffic problems which according to the latest MaltaToday survey is the country’s top concern.
“Prime minister Joseph Muscat and transport minister Joe Mizzi are so clue less that they are attacking the opposition over the traffic problem,” MP Toni Bezzina said.
The opposition MP said Mizzi was “wasting precious time” attacking the opposition instead of implementing Labour’s infamous roadmap to eliminate or at least mitigate the traffic problems.
Bezzina also pointed out that Mizzi’s claims that the problems are exclusive to the southern part of the island were erroneous because the problems are experienced all across the islands.
“Muscat and Mizzi are attempting to give an impression that the problems do not exist, in similar fashion to the national television station. Maltese motorists however know all too well what the problem is,” Bezzina said, adding that this is compounded by the growing expenditure on fuel which is the most expensive in Europe.
He said Muscat and Mizzi must realise that Maltese motorists are suffering frustration on a daily basis “and before they admit it, they will not find a solution.”
