Nightmare Ryanair flight as turbulence causes disaster on board

A Ryanair flight between Malta and Treviso last Thursday 9 September left many passengers shaken after bad bouts of turbulence rocked the plane. One passenger spoke to newspaper Kullhadd about how many aboard the plane couldn’t help but fear the worst.

The flight left Treviso at 7.00pm, and around half an hour into the flight, two large jolts were felt. “The flight was normal until we felt two bad jolts, which were no ordinary air pockets like I’ve previously experienced. Afterwards, the plane seemed to lose balance and it felt as though we were going down,” a passenger said.

At that moment, there was a surge of panic within the plane. “Luggage was flying in the plane and people were slamming from side to side as we felt we were about to crash. There wasn’t even a sign telling us to remain seated.”

“I saw a stewardess get covered in food after a food trolley came heading her way, and another Spanish steward hit his head with the emergency exit door and got covered in blood. Everyone was screaming and crying, everyone thought we were going to die,” the passenger said.

After the ordeal, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing. The same passenger said that after around 40 seconds, the plane seemed to gain stability again. “What we thought would be an immediate emergency landing turned out to be a 50-minute wait. At the time of the incident we were somewhere near Naples, and instead of landing there, the plane kept travelling towards Bologna. I couldn’t understand why it didn’t stop at the nearest airport.”

The passenger recounted a serious lack of professionalism after the ordeal, where there wasn’t even an ambulance to help those who were seriously injured. “They were taken to a clinic in an ordinary car, all shops were also closed and nobody came to offer us something to drink or something to calm us down. We were all left there in shock.”

Cheap Airlines = Cheap and Dangerous Service. And they also want to have standing room passengers. Would anyone want to save money on travel and endanger your life?
