58 people lost driving licenses in 2014

Transport Mizzi reveals that 5,077 people were awarded with a driving license throughout 2014

58 people had their driving lenses rescinded as a result of penalty points throughout 2014, Transport Minister Joe Mizzi revealed.

Responding to a parliamentary question by Opposition MP Censu Galea, Mizzi added that a further 1,287 drivers suffered penalty points due to traffic violations in 2014 but did not lose their license as a result.

In response to a separate question by the same MP, Mizzi said that 5,077 people received probationary driving licenses during 2014.

“Out of those 5,077 people, three of them lost their driving licenses due to penalty points acquired following traffic violations,” Mizzi said.
