Mr Silvio Falzon Please do not put everyone in the same basket. Condemn and punish the culprits but let others be. Did you see the YouTube clip linked here in the first comment ? Consequently may I ask if besides firearms you want to also prohibit stones and sticks so that they are not used to ambush birds to a crushing death ? I will not go into the merits and demerits of hunting but firearms are not used for hunting only. The sporting sector has a myriad of shooting disciplines in which firearms are used diligently and sportingly. Amongst these are the Commenwealth and Olympic games, various forms of bullseye target shooting, precision shooting, dynamic shooting, Field Target shooting, etc, etc, to which there are numerous disciplined Maltese enthusiasts licenced on this island. So please comment wisely.

any form of killing protected birds must be comdemned and stopped ! if who is responsable to see that these must not happen , must make harsh laws ! guns never do any good .....they must be prohibited! they can kill etc...Disgusting who says its a maltese tradition killing protected birds just for fun- hoorahhh to our treasures we have in Malta ........... yeehawwwwww lets kill some (summien) ehehehehhe instead of buying a chicken from the butcher .........
