In the Press: Murder victim's ex-husband the prime suspect

Estranged husband Nour Eddine Ibrahim Hamid is the prime suspect in the murder of his former wife Silvana Muscat. Hamid escaped to Italy before Muscat’s lifeless body was found on Thursday.

Police are attempting to locate the murder suspect by tracing his mobile phone. Sources said that this could be crucial in locating the suspect and eventually extraditing him back to Malta.

General Workers’ Union secretary Tony Zarb announced that his union now represents the majority of Freeport Terminal workers.

Former Malta Resources Authority director Godwin Sant was charged in court with bribery, tax evasion, money laundering, and divulging professional secrets. He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000 after pleading not guilty.
