Fire erupts in Floriana health centre
Union Haddiema Maghqudin questions why podiatrists weren't allowed to evacuate, why no fire alarm is installed at the health centre, and why the emergency exit at the centre is locked with a padlock.

A fire broke out in the Floriana health centre earlier today, but was quickly put out by workers from the department of civil protection.
In a statement, the Union Haddiema Maghqudin questioned why podiatrists weren’t allowed to evacuate the building as everyone else was.
“For some reason, they were left inside their workplace and weren’t evacuated,” the UHM said. “Moreover, the emergency exit is locked with a padlock, against all workplace health and security procedures.”
They also pointed out that no fire alarm is installed at the Floriana Health centre, and appealed to the authorities to immediately take all the necessary steps to alleviate the situation.
