Paceville businessman Hugo Chetcuti calls for ‘yes’ vote on Facebook
Hunter Hugo Chetcuti claims 99% of people voting no eat animal products and fish so they ‘should not pay others to do the killing when hunters had the courage to provide for ourselves’

One of Paceville’s foremost entrepreneurs is exhorting his Facebook friends to vote in favour of spring hunting, claiming voters who will vote ‘no’ were doing it “our of pure selfishness [because] it doesn’t make a difference in there [sic] life.”
Hugo Chetcuti has told followers of his Facebook page that hunters should not suffer for the wrongdoing of poachers.
“A perfect example is a policeman that gets caught doing things illegally. S/he gets punished individually and the government does not close the entire police force. The problem here is people get stereotypical and just label hunters as all the same,” Chetcuti said.
The impresario then claimed that 99% of the people voting against spring hunting “eat animal products and fish” and that they should not pay others to do the killing when hunters had “the courage to provide for ourselves”.
Chetcuti, whose Paceville restaurants also specialize in sushi and tapas, asked people to consider the ‘killing’ of fish eggs used in caviar, or lobsters boiled alive. “I am not against fishing [but] putting a hook through a fish’s mouth and dragging it behind a boat, pulling it out and letting it die cause it’s out of the water is probably fine with all of you people voting no!”
