Suicides trebled in 2010
The number of suicides registered between January and September of this year has trebled compared to statistics of 2009.
During 2009 no suicides were registered between January and March, two were registered in October, five in November and another two in December, nine in total.
This year a total of 35 suicides have been reported; one in January, three in February, five in March, two in April, three in May, one in June, three in July, three in August and five in September.
These statistics were revealed in Parliament by Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici in reply to a question from Labour MP Charles Buhagiar.

You are wrong. These are only "perceived" suicides because according to the Prime Minister everything is perceived in Malta.
