Archbishop Charles Scicluna urges government to "stop the rape" of Zonqor Point in a tweet

Get your thesaurus out.
Archbishop Charles Scicluna has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the siting of the ‘American University’ at Zonqor Point, urging the government to “stop this rape” in a tweet earlier this afternoon.
Aerial footage shows extent of pristine land earmarked for ‘American University’ project: http://t.co/6QKflhrepu Please prevent this rape!

Scicluna has already taken similar stands in favour of the environment, speaking out against hunting in spring.
Embedding a video with aerial footage of the pristine ODZ land in Marsaskala, Scicluna wrote ‘Please stop this rap’.
@BishopScicluna Let us all be a bit more sensitive about our choice of words too.

But he seems to have attracted one unlikely critic – finance minister Edward Scicluna – who tweeted back asking for a “more sensitive choice of words”.
