Romanian PM asks President Abela to 'step in' to lift job market restrictions

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc asked visiting Maltese President George Abela to take all the required steps so that the restrictions imposed the Romanian citizens on the country’s job market be lifted.

‘I thank you for the support rendered the Romanian community in your country, which is not a large community and at the same time I ask you to take all the required moves so as that the restrictions on the job market should be lifted’, Prime Minister Boc told President George Abela during talks at the Victoria Palace (the Govt’s offices).

The Romanian Prime Minister congratulated Abela for having been elected to the post in a unanimous vote of Parliament, and added it would be important that democracy moved to this direction.

He also expressed his hope that Romania and Malta will strengthen their economic relations, and will have the same attitude in the European Council as up until now.

"Today I hope we’ll make decisions to strengthen our economic relations and at the same time, from a political angle, to have the same attitude in the European Council as up until now’, the Prime Minister said..

Malta’s President said that his visit to Bucharest will open new opportunities for reciprocal investment.

‘I think it has been a fruitful state visit, since it will not only strengthen the good relations we already have, but it will open opportunities for investment’, Abela told reporters before exiting the Prime Minister's office in Bucharest.

President  Abela and Mrs. Abela are hosts to Romanian President Traian Basescu.

Can the Romanian President tell the Maltese people about what the Roma and other Romanians do when in other countries? We already have examples of how Romanian and Bulgarian persons who were arrested for robbing people ans shops and one just less than two and a half hours (2 1/2) after landing when she had already robbed several people and shops?
