PN write off official's 'anonymous' stalking of Labour MP as 'personal issue'
The Nationalist party stands by top official who was investigated on anonymous SMEes and phone calls to Labour MP.
PN president Paula Mifsud Bonnici had never informed the party that she had been investigated on a series of anonymous SMSes and phone calls made to Labour MP Justyne Caruana in 2003.
In replies sent to questions from Illum, the Nationalist Party said the matter was a personal issue that had already been resolved.
The PN said the Labour MP had forgiven Mifsud Bonnici for her misdemeanour committed against her seven years ago.
"The issue was closed by the two parties themselves, as confirmed by Justyne Caruana. Paula Mifsud Bonnici will remain President of the PN’s General Council,” they told Illum.
