MPs declare their position on ODZ university
Front Harsien ODZ says protest is not partisan
Front Harsien ODZ has received replies from MPs on their position with respect to the siting of a private university at Zonqor Point, and on their position on outside dvelopmsn constructiomn.
Govenrment whip Godfrey Farrugia, on behalf of the PL parliamentary group, said that Labour MPs were of the opinion that no construction should place on ODZ land "ideally".
He did not communicate an official position on the Zonqor point university project, except for Labour MP Marlene Farrugia, who told the Front personally that she was against the university and ODZ development.
However Godfrey Farrugia said that he would be attending the national protest against the university project on Saturday, alongside his partner Marlene Farrrugia.
On their part, the Nationalist party replied to Front Harsien ODZ by saying that they were against the proposed university at Zonqor.
Front Harsien ODZ spokesperson Michael Briguglio appealed to the public to attend Saturday's national protest against the university project. During the press conference, in a conversation with a bystander who said she was a Marsascala resident, Briguglio reassured the woman that the aims of the Front were not partisan but a wide movement of civil society actors and members from all political parties.
