Public consultation on Paola square regeneration comes to a close
Labour MP Silvio Parnis says that Paola residents and businesses have welcomed an upcoming project to regenerate the Antoine de Paule square.
A series of public consultation sessions on a project to regenerate the Antoine de Paule square in Paola have come to a close.
Labour MP Silvio Parnis, chairman of the Consultative Council for the South, said that the consultation process was crucial to ensure that the project truly reflects people’s wishes.
“Paola residents and businesses have welcomed this project,” Parnis told a press conference. “The general mood is that the government is truly giving priority to the south of Malta.”
The Consultative Council will now evaluate the public’s recommendations before the tender process for the €3 million project continues.
“We must ensure that the government continues working on similar projects, through which it can consistently show that it is committed toward regenerating the south on an economic, social and environmental level,” Parnis said.
