Government selects preferred bidder for €200 million healthcare investment
Preferred bidder for St Luke's, Gozo hospital projects selected by government
Vitals Global Healthcare (VGH) has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the €200 million investment at St Luke’s Hospital, Karen Grech Rehabilitation Centre and the Gozo hospital.
The company was one of three which bid for the redevelopment, management and operation of the three hospitals.
The Public Private partnership is expected to be signed by the end of the year and will see the former St Luke's General Hospital in Gwardamangia and the Gozo hospital will be redeveloped to provide some 230 beds to government while VGH will also invest in the lucrative medical tourism sector and host private patients in the three hospitals.
