34 school-age pregnancies since 2013

34 pregannt teenage girls had to temporarily leave school since 2013, education minister Evarist Bartolo revealed. Out of these 34 girls, 20 of them stopped attending school for good.
The information was given in response to a parliamentary question by Opposition MP George Pullicino.
12 of these girls were 14 years old, 15 of them were 15 years old, while four of them were 16 years old.
Two of them were 13 years old, and one was only 12 years old.
