4,575 secondary school graduates this academic year
2,137 children attending primary schools in Malta are classified as having special needs.
4,575 students completed their secondary school education in the 2014/15 academic year, Education Minister Evarist Bartolo revealed.
Responding to a parliamentary question by Opposition MP George Pullicino, Bartolo said that 2,630 of these students had attended state schools, 1,476 had attended church schools, while 469 had attended independent schools.
2,256 of them were female and 2,319 of them were male.
In response to a separate PQ by Pullicino, Bartolo said that 2,137 children attending primary schools in Malta are classified as having special needs.
1,490 of these students attend state schools, 533 attend church schools, and 114 attend independent schools.
