Forum unions lambaste PBS report for ‘prejudice’

11-union federation mulling libel action against Public Broadcasting Services.

The union federation Forum, which is on the forefront of a campaign to gain representation into the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development, has lambasted PBS for its coverage of its presentation of budget proposals to the Prime Minister.

Secretary Paul Pace said its press conference was reported on the 8pm bulletin “with prejudice, even reporting statements which the speakers did not say.”

“The TVM report was entirley incorrect, apart from it being evident that there was some form of censorship. It is shameful that a tax-funded state television produces such cheap broadcasting that is neither faithful, sincere, honest or loyal towards its audience. We will take legal advice as to whether we should sue the station,” Pace said.

The Triumvirate (perhaps Troika would be a better word) which rules the roost at PBS is made up of Joe Pirotta, Natalino Fenech and Anton Attrad. The PN could shut down NET, save a lot of money and not lose anything.

I bet that the editing is done at Castille! How many gallons of crocodile's tears were shed during the 80's!

No surprise. Any sane person knows that PBS is just an extension of Net TV.
