Six arrested following drug raids in St. Julians

Police have made six arrests during the night following several raids carried out by the Drugs Squad in the St. Julians area,.

Maltese, Italians and Somali nationals were arrested after being found to be in possession of cannabis resin, cocaine and ecstasy.

Assisting the drugs squad during the raids were officers and canines from the police dog section.

The men arrested are helping police in their investigations, which are ongoing. Some may be charged with aggravated possession and trafficking of illegal substances.
