Prison staff at Corradino Correctional Facility expressed dismay at the decision to replace three kitchen workers, after prisoners refused to eat their meals in protest of the quality of food being served and the state of the prison kitchens.

The mother of a young patient at Mount Carmel said that she was not after financial compensation after she alleged that her 10-year-old son had been abused by a member of staff at the hospital. Marvy Casha expressed her wish for justice to be done and to prevent any other patients suffering the same way.
