Double government bonus for cleaning consortium employees

Employees of cleaning consortium Servizi Malta will receive a double government bonus for September, following an agreement between the consortium and the General Workers’ Union.

In a statement, the GWU said that this is the first time that employees in the contractual cleaning sector will receive such a double bonus.

“The GWU and the management reached this agreement as a sign of appreciation for the cleaning staff’s work,” union spokesperson Ivin Catania said. “Indeed, it is thanks to their work performance at Mater Dei that the authorities have kept faith with Servizi Malta as the hospital’s contracted cleaning company.”

Mr Clean, Bad Boy Cleaner and Armonia Holdings make up the Servizi Malta consortium.
