Questions about Enemalta employees considered ‘commercially sensitive’
Energy Minister says information requested on workers engaged by Enemalta is ‘commercially sensitive’
A number of questions raised on the engagement of workers by Enemalta remained without an answer, with Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi stating that the information requested was “commercially sensitive”.
The parliamentary questions were raised by PN MP Jason Azzopardi, who asked the minister to state the number of workers employed as automated management meter architects, workers who were engaged with the energy company’s IT section and other workers who joined Enemalta.
He also asked whether internal or external calls had been issued.
In his reply to the three questions, the minister said that he could not provide the information requested.
“The information cannot be given as it is of a commercial nature and sensitive to the operations of the company,” Mizzi said.
Parliament last year approved a bill of law that turned Enemalta Corporation into a public liability company.
