€43 million luxury retirement village nearing completion

A €43 million “retirement village” in Naxxar is nearing completion and will be opening its doors to the public in November.

Developed by AX Holdings, Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village offers a vast choice of independent living arrangements with 133 deluxe luxury apartments and penthouses, spread over 17,000sqm.

During a press conference attended by Minister Konrad Mizzi and Michael Farrugia, chairman Angelo Xuereb said “no expense has been spared in making sure that The Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village is the best retirement option in Malta”

Within the same development, Hilltop Gardens also has a licensed residential care home to cater for higher dependency patients requiring short term respite services or long term care. Convalescence, rehabilitation and palliative care services will also be catered for by the professional multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals within the Village.

Moreover the Care Home includes a purposely built dedicated Memory Support Unit for persons with dementia as well as physio-hydrotherapy pool and physiotherapy hall.

Jacqueline Camilleri, CEO explained that Hilltop Gardens has been designed to address the changing needs and dependencies of the elderly. “Our ethos is entirely based on flexibility, choice and individual needs.
