Police foil Sliema robbery

Police reported that they were tipped-off about two suspicious looking men entering a block of apartments in Ghar id-Dud Street in Sliema at 10:45am.

Officers from mobile squad units who went to inspect the place, surprised two hooded men attempting to break into an apartment.

One was immediately arrested, while another anaged to get away, and a search is still on for him in the area.

Duty Magistrate Antonio Mizzi ordered an inquiry.
