Simon Busuttil files libel proceedings against PL
PN Leader files libel proceedings against Labour Party over a press release which claimed that Busuttil was “caught in a serious case of fraud of public funds”

Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil has filed libel proceedings against the Labour Party over a press release which was sent to the media on Monday.
In its statement, PL had said that Simon Busuttil was “caught in a serious case of fraud of public funds”.
PN is insisting that what the Labour Party is implying is a lie.
“The statement by PL shows the low-level politics that was reached by Joseph Muscat,” the PN said.
Following this news, PN leader suspended his driver while questioning the Speaker’s intentions as news broke out a day after Busuttil presented proposals on good governance.
In comments to the media, Busuttil had said that he did not know what the Magisterial Inquiry was trying to establish.
