Party faithful donate over €1 million to Labour, PN

Nationalist Party raises €518,038 bringing the total of money given to political parties over the weekend to €1,079,177

The two major political parties have raised a combined €1,079,177 in separate fund-raising marathons held on Saturday and Sunday.

Party faithful flocked to their respective headquarters and called in their donations, replying to the request for financial support made by their leaders.

Labour leader Joseph Muscat and Nationalist leader Simon Busuttil descended at their respective marathons appealing for donations.

The Labour Party raised €561,139 on Saturday.
