Two women, one pregnant, rescued from blazing Ibragg apartment

Firefighters rescue two women who had escaped to an enclosed back yard, after a fire broke out in a Tal-Ibragg apartment

Two women, one of whom is pregnant, were rescued from an Ibragg apartment that had caught fire this evening.

The fire occurred at around 8pm in Triq l-Istasja, reportedly after a gas cylinder exploded in a front yard, trapping the two women inside the apartment.

The two women rushed out into a back yard where they were rescued by firefighters after they had put out the fire.

They were treated for smoke inhalation in an ambulance and rushed off to Mater Dei for further treatment.
