Armed hold-up in San Gwann lotto booth

A hooded man armed with a firearm broke into a lotto booth in Triq il-Mensija, San Gwann, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say that the man broke into the booth at around 7am and demanded money from the booth’s owner, a 60 year old from San Gwann, before fleeing the scene with the stolen cash.

Investigations by the District Police and Criminal Investigation Department are still underway.
