PN approves six candidates for general election

The Nationalist party approved six more candidates for the general election, during an Executive Committee meeting yesterday, bringing the number of PN candidates up to 55.

This will be the first election any of the candidates will contest. The candidates are: Siggiewi mayor Karol Aquilina; Alex Perici Calascione, treasurer for the PN; notary Sam Abela; Rahal Gdid councilor Ivan Bartolo; lawyer Thomas Bugeja and Naxxar deputy mayor Anna Marie Muscat Fenech Adami.

In comments following the meeting, PN leader Simon Busuttil said that the new group of candidates would contribute to a renewal of the party.
