PN question lack of PBS coverage over Mizzi’s Panama company
Opposition MP Clyde Puli claims that national broadcaster is being 'manipulated by Castille'
The Nationalist Party has hit out at national broadcaster PBS for failing to report the Prime Minister’s comments about revelations that energy minister Konrad Mizzi owns a Panamanian-registered company.
PN MP Clyde Puli in a statement said that the lack of coverage is proof that Castille is calling the shots at the national broadcaster.
“Although the news have recently been dominated by Mizzi’s secret company in Panama and secret trust in New Zealand, PBS don’t deem the Prime Minister’s reaction to the scandal newsworthy enough,” he said. “They chose to censure Joseph Muscat’s comments, because he was defending Mizzi in this scandal. Had he not defended Mizzi, Muscat would have been granted the top slot in PBS’ news bulletin.”
