Bus route changes from tomorrow

Buses from Marsa to Mater Dei will no longer pass through St Luke's hospital, Valletta circular bus to be improved

Fresh bus route changes will come into play as of tomorrow, as Transport Malta sets about tweaking the much-maligned December revamp.

All buses serving Mater Dei will now also proceed to the university before proceeding on their respective journeys, and buses that used to pass from Marsa Park and Ride to Mater Dei will no longer take a detour via St Luke’s Hospital. Route 122 operating between Valletta and St Luke’s Hospital will run every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays. This route will also proceed to Mater Dei.

Route 47 will continue with its hourly services to St Luke’s.

Following a protest by elderly citizens, Valletta’s circular bus timetable – route 133 – will also be improved.

The bus will once again start operating every half hour, and the last circular bus will no longer be scheduled to arrive as early as 9pm.
