Forum ‘to give total support’ to Air Malta unions

Forum secretary-general Paul Pace said Forum would be supporting union members ALPA (Airline Pilots Association), Union of Cabin Crew and the Association of Airline Engineers in the ensuing Air Malta reform.

“Government must be honest and speak with clarity on the reason why Air Malta will be registering €50 million in losses, €12 million in summer alone when it had almost full capacity on all its flights,” Pace said.

Pace said Forum wanted to know “who is responsible for mistaken decisions” that had cost Air Malta in the past. “As the proverbial ‘work practices’ is being mentioned, Forum wants to know which work practices were not those expected in the past years.”
