47 unlicensed drivers charged in court last year
47 people charged in court for driving without a license, 186 charged for driving without insurance
47 people were charged in court last year after they were caught driving without a driving license, home affairs minister Carmelo Abela revealed.
Responding to a series of parliamentary questions by PN deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami. Abela said that 28 of these people were found guilty last year and were fined a combined total of €626,531.
In response to separate PQs, the home affairs minister said that 186 people were charged in court for driving without insurance, out of which 93 were found guilty.
These were fined a combined total of €129,430.48
