A 33-year-old man from Hal Safi has been hospitalised after he was shot in the face, in an apparent accident.
The incident took place at around 7pm in a field near Hal Far.
A police spokesperson told MaltaToday that the shooting appears to have been a self-inflicted accident with no third parties involved.
The man was rushed to Mater Dei for treatment, and where his condition has been declared critical.
