Labour MP Charles Mangion today accused opposition leader Simon Busuttil of "double standards" after failing to take action against Nationalist MP Tony Abela who, he said, had not declared his interest in a company he holds with another man who was convicted for drug trafficking.

Noting that the company, Ajaca Fishing Company Ltd, was not in liquidation, Mangion said Busuttil's refusal to answer questions on the matter confirmed "Busuttil's lack of credibility."

Mangion added that Busuttil spoke about high standards in public life, his failure to act on a number of cases involving Nationalist MPs, including the Gozo work-for-votes involving former PN minister Giovanna Debono's husband and the recent loan scheme introduced by the PN, undermined his credibility.
