Agreement reached between UHM and government over part-time social assistants

Union Haddiema Maqghudin announced that the casual assistants were previously considered to be self-employed, and were later – on the union’s insistence – made part-time social assistants, being given the right for leave and sick leave.

Today’s agreement now allows PTSAs to become full-time civil servants.
