Diver dies in Cirkewwa

MaltaToday is informed that the diver’s body was recovered off the Gozo ferry boat quay in Cirkewwa and was brought ashore by Civil Protection Department divers.

Informed sources said that the body is believed to be of a Scottish man who was diving with a group of other divers in the area. It is believed that the diver suffered complications while under water.

On site investigations are underway, while the Duty Magistrate has ordered an inquiry.
