In the Press: IIP millionaires live in 'modest flats' in Malta

Following a rise in doubts whether the millionaires who had applied for Maltese citizenship under the cash-for-passports scheme were actually living in Malta after the Panama Papers, the newspaper reports that a number of millionaires appear to be living in modest flats in areas like Birżebbuġa, Mellieħa, St Paul’s Bay and Mġarr. The doubts were raised because the Panama Papers showed that Panama law firm Mossack Fonseca actively touted the scheme’s easy residence requirements.
