In October, the Parliament had revealed that the opening ceremony of the Visitors’ Centre at Ħaġar Qim and Imnajdra and the protective tents on site had come to cost at some €63,000.
In an answer to a parliamentary question raised by Labour MP Gino Cauchi, it was said that the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) had presented invoices of €14,354 for the production made by the Outside Broadcasting Unit and another €14,936 for the production of the features.
However, according to the Labour organ Kulhadd, the real amount totals €46,840 and not €28,750. In another question on the same subject raised by Labour MP Joe Mizzi, the cost of to rent the OB van and the production of the features have increased.
Moreover, Kulhadd said that whilst invoices were issued by PBS, the payment was effectively done to the Where’s Everybody Productions.
The Labour organs also claims that the WE Production was given the job through a direct order without a call for offers taking place.
