Murder suspect’s interrogation suspended following expert advice, arraignment postponed
Psychiatrists at Mount Carmel hospital have reportedly advised the police to suspend his interrogation, resulting in his arraignment being postponed to a later date

Police have been advised by psychiatrists at Mount Carmel hospital advised to suspend the interrogation of Andrew Mangion, the main suspect in connection with his wife’s murder.
As a result of this, Mangion will not be arraigned today, a legal source told MaltaToday.
Mangion was under “constant watch” at the hospital, where he was admitted after he turned himself in almost two days after his estranged wife was found dead in a Qormi warehouse, the Times of Malta reported, citing sources.
It is reportedly common practice for investigators to refrain from questioning a person recovering in hospital until experts have given the go ahead.
Investigators yesterday are said to have continued to reinforce their theory that Eleanor Mangion Walker was killed elsewhere and then taken to the warehouse.
Police are reported to still be trying to locate two cars normally used by the suspect, after his white van, which was most likely used to transport the body to the warehouse, was found today in San Gwann. Forensic experts are studying the van for any kind of evidence.
