Two bids submitted for underground car park in Mosta

Projects Malta – the government company set up to facilitate Public Private partnerships between ministries and the private sector – this morning started receiving bids for the design, construction and operation of an underground car park in Mosta.

The launch took place  during a public event and so far, two bidders - City Square Parking JV and Express Car Parks JV – have presented an offer. The submissions will now be evaluated and a preferred bidder will be selected.

A technical committee, with representatives from the Malta Archdiocese and Projects Malta, that was set up in October will be consulted on the project.

Minister without a portfolio Konrad Mizzi explained that this process has been adopted in order to assure that the preferred bidder is chosen using a transparent process while also ensuring that the best project is selected.
