Hold-up on lotto booth in Sta Venera
A man fled the scene of an armed robbery with less than €1,500 after having held-up a lotto booth in the vicinity of Lidl Supermarket in Sta Venera.
The hold-up took place at around 5:15pm, when the armed and hooded man stepped inside the booth and ordered the attendant to hand over the money.
The lotto booth attendant, a 60-year-old man from Hamrun, is under shock but uninjured.
In a statement, the police said the man, who was wearing black, was hooded and was carried a firearm, and has been reported as having left the scene of the crime on foot.
